I was poking around there late last year looking for a couple of the stories I'd written as part of the competition. Isn't it funny how something can go well for a while, then just fizzle (yuk yuk yuk) into oblivion?

I've noticed that too. I'm not nearly wealthy enough to afford a decent midlife crisis. I wonder what a white trash midlife crisis consists of? Switching from Coors to Heineken? I don't even think I can afford that. Gotta aim lower...

Sorry to hear about your work slump. In spite of the craziness of scrambling for work last year, I sometimes think I made the wrong choice accepting my old job back. Second guessing never really helps though.

Heh. Nice list of considerations there.

I wonder too what would have happened if maybe I had stuck with some of the other jobs I'd had, made different choices, and whether or not I'd be stuck in this 2.5 year out of work slump I seem to be rooted in. Like what if I took the position working in a self-storage facility instead of the job as a waitress? That storage place is still in business years later whereas the Japanese food place went under within two months of my taking the job. Or what if I hadn't left my job I had before that in order to find work closer to home? Lots of what if's out there...

I'd say you're better off without the midlife crisis. Seems like an awful lot of money spent on silliness in most cases. Might be fun though for a while!

Love your work Colin, would be glad to show case some more. Do you have a link or post that lists all of your t-shirt designs?
Cheers!
